CBS4 names Rudabeh Shahbazi morning news anchor

“Rudabeh is a dedicated and accomplished journalist who is passionate about helping her community,” said CBS4 Vice President and General Manger Adam Levy in a press release. “She will be a great addition to our team.”

Shahbazi was most recently a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Before that, she was a multimedia journalist at KNXV-TV in Phoenix, where she received a regional EMMY Award for reporting. She has also worked in Pasco, Washington, and Oakland, California.

During her tenure in Southern California, Shahbazi has been involved with the nonprofit organization “School on Wheels.” Her work has been focused on serving as a tutor to homeless children in the Los Angeles area.

“I am excited to join the CBS4 team, at a station with a record of quality journalism and investigative reporting.” Shahbazi said in a press release. “I also can't wait to call South Florida home, explore all the beauty and culture it has to offer, and become part of the community.”

Shahbazi has an undergraduate degree in journalism from Pepperdine University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
