Tony Award-winning ‘The Humans’ coming to Miami

Another Tony Award winner is heading to a South Florida stage.

For its final production of the 2016-17 season, GableStage will present Stephen Karam’s the family comedy/drama “The Humans,” which won the Tony Award for Best Play in 2016. “The Humans” will run Oct. 7-Nov. 5.

GableStage — which won four Carbonell Awards, including best play, best director for Joseph Adler and best actor for Aygemang Clay for Marco Ramirez’s The Royale” — has also announced its 2017-18 season. Here’s what’s coming:

Nov. 25-Dec. 23: “Becoming Dr. Ruth” by Mark St. Germain

Feb. 3-March 4, 2018: “If I Forget” by Steven Levenson

April 7-May 6: “Gloria” by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins

June 9-July 8: “I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard” by Halley Feiffer

August 11-Sept. 9: “White Guy on the Bus” by Bruce Graham

The final play of the season, which will run Oct. 13-Nov. 1, is TBA.

GableStage’s next production, the comedy “The Legend of Georgia McBride,” opens May 27 and runs through June 25.
