Beyoncé, Jay Z, their daughter Blue Ivy and some family members stopped off for ice cream Saturday afternoon at The Frieze in South Beach. The group discreetly sat at a table despite the three black SUVs and their security detail, who apparently asked people not to take pictures. Later that night the couple (sans Blue) was spotted dining at Lucali Italian restaurant on Bay Road. A fellow patron surreptitiously took a cellphone pic.
Following his SunFest performance Thursday, Jason Derulo and Meghan Trainor, who performed there Wednesday, were spotted together with a group of friends at Story. Trainor was drinking tequila and soda, and they were all seen dancing in the booth.
Jay-Z’s latest Roc Nation protégé, mega reggaeton star, Yandel, performed for a private audience Friday at a party presented by Hennessy V.S at Rockwell. On Saturday, J Balvin was seen there, hanging out at a private table as the nightclub played his hit song Ginza in his honor. Former footballer Jonathan Vilma was also seen enjoying the evening with a large group.
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands had dinner with his royal family Friday at Seaspice. While Queen Máxima had the sea bass — which she said was exquisite —the king ordered the lobster. Dessert: pear ravioli and chocolate cremoso. After their meal outside along the Miami River, the king commented that he would be back with friends and his yacht for his next visit.
Model/singer Caroline Vreeland, great granddaughter of legendary Vogue editrix Diana Vreeland, jetted down to Miami over the weekend to join friend, local restauranteur Jason Odio, as he opened his new Brickell hotspot, Baby Jane, which he owns with partner, Foreigner Mick Jones’s son, club king Roman Jones. Vreeland, who models for Diane von Furstenberg, feasted on wings, Chef Michael Beltran’s namesake Chugburger and Bebito cocktails with Instagram star Shea Marie of lifestyle blog PeaceLoveShea.
