The one and only Madonna makes Art Basel great again

The most anticipated and prohibitive Art Basel event this year, the one that drew the real stars to Miami for a change, was unquestionably Madonna's $5,000-$150,000 a ticket Raising Malawi benefit Friday at Faena. There, Chris Rock, and the man she called the one true love in her life, Sean Penn, and James Corden presented her to the audience, for whom she razzled, dazzled, rode a guy in the audience for charity, and avoided getting whipped by Ariana Grande's most dangerous ponytail in a randy duet of "Music". Regarding Penn, to whom she was handcuffed during an auction of personal photos taken during their marriage, "We're reliving my marriage," and "I'm still in love with you--I'm more in love with you now that we're divorced!" We will keep an eye on that one.

Madonna also locked lips with ubiquitous Miami-based supermodel Karolina Kurkova when a piece of Bulgari jewelry sold for $190,000. She also made some political statements, saying Standing Rock made her ashamed to be an American and dedicated Britney Spears' "Toxic" to Donald Trump. She also was puzzled about Art Basel and what it's become, saying, "If this is what the art world has become, I want nothing to do with it." So there. Also seen in the crowd: Leonardo DiCaprio, billionaire Eric Schmidt, zillionaire Ron Burkle, magician David Blaine, and Courtney Love and Dave Chappelle in seemingly, um, soaring spirits. More of the same celebrity at the $150,000 or more VIP after party, minus the shameless Miami husband and wife party crashers from whom we hear the charity is seeking retribution.

Earlier that night, Chappelle and Rock were seen catching up at Hyde Beach at SLS South Beach. The pair were later joined by Diddy. Following that, Chappelle stopped by the Haute Living + Hublot dinner for Art Basel at Delano South Beach before heading to the Madonna production at Faena.

DiCaprio was seen in the wee hours of Saturday morning "with a haven of girls" at E11EVEN's pop up of LA-hot spot Bootsy Bellows. There, Rapper Tyga performed while his girlfriend's sister, Kendall Jenner, flew in from Paris to party with him. Party player Johnny Manziel was also there having a fine time.

Earlier in the night, Jenner was seen leaving Prime 112 with rapper A$AP Rocky.DiCaprio was also seen at the sceney steakhouse with a different crew. Says our spy on DiCaprio, "He did his typical club routine: enter, hot girls, drinks, leaves."

And then there was Bon Jovi. At Faena. Huh? Yep, SiriusXM decided to throw a private Bon Jovi concert at Miami’s most Art Basely venue, and, while it had nothing to do with art, it was art. Up in the balcony there was designer Donna Karan sitting next to the embalmed Calvin Klein with his young Twinkie, one who probably wasn’t born when Jon Bon Jovi survived on AquaNet. Across the balcony was Bravo’s always animated Andy Cohen, fist pumping away to the sounds of his confused, Midwestern youth. And down on the floor, fans, just fans, who had neither an idea nor interest about Art Basel. Even Jon Bon Jovi had none, referring to how odd it was he was in a hotel reminiscent of a scene from Eyes Wide Shut. And then he rocked. And rocked. And it was art. Speaking of, on Sunday, Jon Bon Jovi was seen perusing the goods at ART MIAMI.

She said she was here for the food, and Barbra Streisand wasn't kidding that she loved Joe's Stone Crab, spotted there Thursday around 6 p.m. with hubby James Brolin. While Streisand's bodyguard fended off fawning fans for photos, Brolin was much more amenable to it. The couple left the crowd with their jaws ---and claws--dropped as they made their way back to the Mandarin Oriental. On Friday, they were seen having dinner, also at 6 p.m. at Seaspice with Pat Riley and his wife. After the Dover Sole and lobster salad, Streisand spoke with owners Maryam and Carlos Miranda about her forthcoming South Florida shows.

Will Smith was seen having breakfast Sunday morning at the Mandarin Oriental.

"Suavemente" singer Elvis Crespo was spotted having lunch with his band Wednesday at Bulla Gastrobar in Doral. Crespo recently collaborated with rising Mexican-American DJ Deorro on the hit "Bailar."

Paddle8 founder Alexander Gilkes (who presided over Madge’s event), digital media honcho Thomas Hesse and the jet setty photog and art collector Jean Pigozzi hosted a Paddle8 bidding party slash luncheon Thursday at the Soho Beach house celebrating the auction, Brett Ratner’s Hilhaven Lodge: Select works from one of Hollywood’s most storied homes selling pix from the Miami movie mogul’s storied 90210-home. Martha Stewart and Courtney Love, with 31-year-old fashion fotog Sebastian Faena (cousin of Alan's), were found snapping poses inside the photo booth and sipping Ratner’s Hilhaven Lodge Whiskey.

Perrier-Jouët hosted one final do Thursday at L’Eden by Perrier-Jouët at the Casa Faena. Fresh off the runway in Paris, Victoria’s Secret Angel Martha Hunt attended the fête wearing an all-black ensemble paired with Tamara Mellon heels and a Fendi bag. The model, who was in great spirits and mesmerized by Simon Hammerstein’s show, made her grand entrance into the event riding on the back of a performer dressed as a phoenix, a la Bianca Jagger. Hunt and photographer boyfriend Jason McDonald were toasting to her success with friends and when asked how she was spending her weekend in Miami the five foot ten model replied “Sleeping and eating lots of unhealthy food!"

The 7th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale Party Thursday at the 1111 Lincoln Road garage hosted by Russell and Danny Simmons featured Jermaine Dupri on the decks, A$AP Rocky and Sasha Lane (American Honey) and last year’s Creative Mentor, Rosario Dawson, who brought her mom. And major mazels to Philly’s Darius Frank, crowned by Russell Simmons as the Grand Finale Winner.

Calvin Harris was seen Thursday, checking out Hebru Brantley’s artwork at the Pirez Sisters Gallery pop-up in Wynwood hosted by Alex Pirez. Harris, along with LIV/Story chief David Grutman and friends followed the art gazing with dinner at Grutman’s Komodo Miami. After that, Harris headed to LIV where he performed for an audience that included Skrillex, and artists Mr. Brainwash and Alec Monopoly, among others.

Over at LIV’s cross town sibling, hip hop elite partied at STORY where Travis Scott performed during a special Art Basel Edition at the nightclub. Celebs in attendance included Jermaine Dupri, Pusha T, Nas, and Migos. After leaving LIV, Skrillex surprised the crowd at STORY with an impromptu DJ set before Scott jumped on the DJ booth to perform at 3 a.m. Migos joined Scott atop the DJ booth where the group performed together.

Rae Sremmurd performed Friday at Nautilus, a SIXTY Hotel during the Art Basel Up&Down pop up. The brothers took shots of 1800 Tequila between verses and shared the bottle with the crowd while stating "Miami is lit." Also there, Nelly Furtado lounged in the sand with her crew, while Venus Williams pretended not to be a famous tennis player when photographers asked for a photo.

Rick Ross played host to an "epic" party Friday at Rockwell, with celebs including Kendall Jenner, Venus Williams, Carnage, Skrillex, Chuckie, Michael Strahan, and Johnny Manziel.

NAS made an appearance Friday at Radio Bar, there for the two day pop up of his NYC based fried chicken favorite Sweet Chick. He arrived around 1 a.m. with a group of friends including rapper, Joey Badass. On Saturday/Sunday morning, the rapper rocked at Rockwell with entourage of ten plus, greeted with a mega bottle parade that included HENNESSY VSOP Privilege and HENNESSY X.O. Diddy arrived shortly after with Noreaga. Both Nas and Diddy then took to the stage to perform their classic hit, "You Can Hate Me Now" with a bottle of Hennessy in each of their hands. Noreaga also jumped on stage to perform several hits.

DJ Khaled celebrated his 41st birthday Sunday at LIV. Fresh off the Victoria's Secret runway, Kendall Jenner, sporting a navy blue silk Gucci jumpsuit with red and white stripes, and rapper A$AP Rocky were spotted cozying up next to each other sitting at a table for hours. Directly across from them were Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill, who joined Floyd Mayweather's table and partied until the wee hours. Johnny Manziel also continued his birthday weekend spending over 10k for a table with a large group of friends and ladies.

Celebs and hip hop royalty also came out to celebrate the Snapchat king including Future, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne (and the Young Money Crew), Flo Rida, Tyson Beckford, and Diddy, who brought along his son Justin Combs. As a birthday surprise, Fat Joe jumped on the DJ booth and performed a few of his hits for the crowd.
