The owner of swingers club Miami Velvet wants a federal court to dismiss the lawsuit brought against her by local supermodel Joanna Krupa and 31 other entertainers who claim Velvet used their photos illegally to promote the club.
The ladies want a total of $5.4 million in damages after they found themselves on ads, social media come-ons and in-house promos for group sex sessions and alleged “unhealthy and unsanitary acts.”
One thing that ought to sway the judge, Velvet lawyer Luke Lirot wrote in his dismissal request, is that the models knew they were being photographed for “risqué” photos and shouldn’t be surprised they’re being used by Velvet.
