One lawyer ripping off another? You don’t say!
A couple of legal eagles are set to go at it in a Miami-Dade County court this summer after divorce guru Ray Rafool filed suit against Coral Gables criminal lawyer Alex Martinez.
The plaintiff is Rafool, who often represents celebrities such as “Real Housewives of Miami” star Joanna Krupa.
Rafool claims Martinez stiffed him on fees charged to represent Martinez in his long, drawn-out, nasty divorce.

According to records, Rafool says Martinez still owes $22,173.33 and doesn’t seem to be responsive to reminders.
Interest is piling up at the rate of 18 percent a year.
Miami-Dade County court records show Martinez’s 2010 divorce from Maria Ubarri and the many legal arguments over the custody of their two teenage children as well as Martinez’s child support since then has kept lawyers on both sides busy.
And even though the divorce judgment became final in 2010, the torn lovebirds have been routinely seeing one another in court.
Just in April, Martinez asked a judge for increased time with the kids and lower child support, despite gross business income inching close to $300,000.
Martinez didn’t return calls for comment.
Said Rafool: “We’re not in the business of suing clients and colleagues, but we did the work and expect to be paid. He understands our business better than anybody.”
