The Rock for president?
Yes. Apparently, Dwayne Johnson may want to get into politics one day — and the slogan possibilities are endless.
On Thursday, the wrestler turned movie star took to his Instagram to post a screen grab of a Washington Post editorial that cited an article Johnson did with British GQ saying he wouldn’t rule out a run for office.
“I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring,” said the UM football player in the June 7 piece. “And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.”
Like make blockbusters. But we have a feeling the California native — who has a home in Southwest Ranches —could go pretty far.
All the way to the White House.
“I care DEEPLY about our county... and the idea of one day becoming President to create real positive impact and global change is very alluring,” Johnson, 44, continued in the post. “Buuuuut until that possible day, the most important thing right now is strong honest leadership from our current and future leaders of this country.” How... politically correct.
And for the record, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump watchers: The Post reports he’s a registered Republican.
