Dancing with the Stars pro Louis van Amstel wants to keep South Floridians in as tip-top shape as he is. On Wednesday, Amstel hosted a session of La Blast, his popular fitness routine, aka “a workout in disguise,” at Pritikin Longevity Center + Spa.

Trying to keep up with the native Dutchman is no easy feat, but he says if you want to move like him, don’t be intimidated.

His No. 1 piece of advice: “Start the day with physical activity, which can help you stay healthy throughout the day. Also if you work out first thing, you can’t be distracted by excuses.”

Also: Keep things interesting. “Find a workout that makes you forget you’re working out,” van Amstel advises.

The TV star who has worked with the likes of Lisa Rinna, Priscilla Presley and Kelly Osbourne certainly doesn’t subscribe to the belief that people were born with two left feet.

“Dance is for everyone, get out of your head, and give up control,” he says, adding another tip: “When you dance, listen to the music because it feeds your soul. Lyrics can many times be inspiring and uplifting.”
