Serena Williams has arrived.
Anna Wintour chose to attend the tennis star’s New York Fashion Week runway debut on Tuesday.
“It means a lot … I mean, she’s Anna Wintour at the end of the day, fashion’s queen,” said Williams, who just won the U.S. Open for the third time,
With celebrities like court rival and Open runner-up Caroline Wozniacki, supermodel Beverly Johnson, actor Boris Kodjoe and comedian Marlon Wayans looking on, the Palm Beach resident showed her Serena Williams Signature Statement Collection for the HSN Network. She described the clothing as “casual wear but pumped up, everyday wear that is actually realistic.”

Getting a family of six out the door on time can be quite a challenge — even when you’re David Beckham.
“With me and the boys, five minutes. With Harper, it’s a lot more of a process and obviously with Victoria,” the former soccer star said Tuesday at an event for his fashion collaboration with British brand Belstaff. “You see her [Harper] every morning getting her clothes out for school or, you know, changing her mind like 20 times.”
Beckham said he lent much more than his name to the six-piece capsule collection, which includes leather motorcycle jackets ($1,950), a pair of distressed jeans ($395) and a classic white T-shirt ($95).
“I have always been involved 110 percent,” Beckham said. “People know that it’s what I would wear and that’s why people have loved the collection the way they have.”
