The Video Music Awards’ red carpet showed off a few more things than thighs and side boobs: New Hollywood hookups.
We realized that Katy Perry is hot for Texas rapper Riff Raff, her collaborator on the upcoming song, This Is How We Do. Perry, whose parents are both preachers, likes her bad boys. Raff, born Horst Simco, was arrested after a traffic stop last year in North Carolina and charged with two counts of possession. It’s all good. Charges were dropped.
And Ireland Baldwin is single no more. The daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger has a new ladyfriend, whom she brought to the ceremony at the Forum. The model, 18, arrived with 23-year-old Echelon hip-hopper Angel Haze.

Black Kapital Records CEO Suge Knight remains in a Los Angeles hospital after being shot in a nightclub early Sunday.
R&B singer Chris Brown, who was co-hosting the party, was also inside but not hit. Neither were guests Tyson Beckford nor Black Eyed Peas member Apple de Ap.
Knight, who founded Death Row Records and has been in and out of jail, was apparently was able to walk out of 1OAK on his own, but cops noticed blood and called an ambulance. Knight was reportedly shot in the stomach and arm.
Authorities are still seeking the shooter.
Knight has been shot before: In 2005, he was struck in the leg during an MTV awards pre-party thrown by Kanye West at the Shore Club in Miami Beach.
This is happening: Prince is releasing a new album, his first since 2010’s 20Ten. The album is called Art Official Age and will be released by Warner Bros. Records, the label Prince was signed to from 1978 to the mid-1990s but later battled for the rights to his music. He reached a deal with Warner in April, earning the rights to the music he recorded on the label. The pop hermit will also release the album PlectrumElectrum with his all-female band 3RDEYEGIRL the same day.
A rapper and Love & Hip Hop star is lashing out at police who say he’s wanted for roughing up his ex-girlfriend and stealing her cellphone. Joe Budden directed his ire at the New York Police Department via Twitter on Saturday after it sent out his picture and asked the public for help tracking him down. In one expletive-punctuated tweet, the 33-year-old says he’s going to sue. Police say Budden snatched the phone and twisted his ex-girlfriend’s arm during a dispute in his car last week.
