Film legend Elizabeth Taylor dies at 79

Screen legend Elizabeth Taylor died Wednesday in Los Angeles. She was 79.

Publicist Sally Morrison says the actress died Wednesday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from congestive heart failure. She had been admitted in early February.

Taylor announced her congestive heart failure diagnosis in 2004.

The Oscar-winning actress had received friends in her hospital room, where she had also watched the Academy Awards to celebrate her last birthday.
