Let’s hope Dave Chappelle gets a warmer reaction when he does his Fillmore show April 11 as part of the South Beach Comedy Fest. Because in Sante Fe on Monday night, things didn’t go so well. Cops say a man tossed a banana peel at the comedian during a set. Audience member Christian Englander, 30, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and battery after the fruit throw at the Lensic Performing Arts Center. An apparently intoxicated Englander told officers he threw the fruit because he took offense to jokes Chappelle made about his companion.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
You can’t keep a classic band down. The Rolling Stones are zipping across North America again, for the first time in nine years. The rockers announced a 15-city stadium tour that kicks off May 24 at Petco Park in San Diego, California. One fairly local stop includes the Orlando Citrus Bowl on June 12. The so-called “Zip Code” tour will once again reunite singer Mick Jagger, drummer Charlie Watts and guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. Tickets go on sale April 13.
