Toni Braxton is on the mend and should be fine in time for her Oct. 26 concert at Hard Rock Live.
A spokeswoman told the Associated Press said the singer was released from an L.A. hospital after being treated for lupus, the autoimmune disease she was diagnosed with in 2010.
Braxton rep Maureen O’Connor said Braxton, who is dating Miami music mogul Bryan “Birdman” Williams, was fine enough to start rehearsing for her tour this week.
TMZ reports that Birdman traveled to the West Coast to be by Braxton’s side and support her through her most recent health setback.
Her uncle died of lupus, aka systemic lupus erythematosus, she wrote in her memoir, “Unbreak My Heart.”
Last year the 48 year old told HuffPostLive about her ongoing battle.
“Some days I can’t balance it all. I just have to lay in bed,” she said. “Pretty much when you have lupus you feel like you have the flu every day. But some days you get through it. But for me, if I’m not feeling well, I tend to tell my kids, ‘Oh mommy’s just going to relax in bed today.’ I kind of take it easy.”
Her Twitter account hasn’t been active in four days.
