“I am reading three literary gems: Gloria Steinem’s My Life on the Road, Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman, and Isabel Allende’s The Japanese Lover. During quiet evenings, I read one book and then the other and the other in consecutive sequence before going to bed. All are excellent reading and transport me as on a magic carpet to distant worlds. On the back burner for now but getting closer to the front burner is Oscar Hijuelos’ The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love.”
Emma Chaves, author of Tales From Alturas: The Puerto Rican Mystique
