For those living under a rock, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival is starting up Thursday.
If all you’re seeing is “Sold Out” every event you try to buy a ticket for, or you look at the price and think paying your rent is more important, take a breath.
We found a Thursday event in which not only can eat a ton of food, you won’t have to lose your shirt in the process.
The “Pig Beach” party goes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Nautilus South Beach Backyard.
On the menu: baby back ribs with brown sugar and sticky honey glaze; turkey breast smoked with black pepper, butter and herbs; brisket with a salt and pepper crust; and all the fixins’ (housemade pickles, purple coleslaw and more).
On hand preparing the feast are two-award winning barbecue teams, Salty Rinse and Ribdiculous Bar-B-Krewe, with Chef Matt Abdooat the helm. There will also be live music by The French Horn Collective; two adult beverages; and unlimited BBQ chow.
