Pharrell Williams debuts Louis Vuitton collection at star-studded show in Paris
Paris was a hot spot for fashion, hip hop and beyond, last night.
Artist and musician Pharell Williams, who was recently appointed the men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton, debuted his showcased looks for the luxury brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection this Tuesday night at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
As reported by Hypebeast, the invitation alluded to a theme that celebrated joy and love. Before entering the outdoor venue, guests took a boat by Musée d’Orsay to the bridge, which was clad in gold throughout.
The star-studded show took place on the Pont Neuf bridge and featured such guests as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna A$AP Rocky, Kim Kardashian and Jared Leto seated in the front row. Hip-hop stars, Quavo, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyler the Creator and Jaden Smith were all in attendance as well.
Williams spoke with the New York Times about his Louis Vuitton’s relationship with Black culture stating, “They have to be supportive of the culture because the culture contributes to the bottom line,” he told the outlet, adding he’s had conversations with the brand “about how important the community is to them, and how being supportive to them is a natural and a prerequisite.”
Pharell walked out to end the show donning a camouflage-inspired outfit.
“I am a creative designer from the perspective of the consumer,” Williams also told The New York Times.
