  Who shot J.R. Ewing? I really have no clue. I was only three months and 21 days old when he was shot on that hit show Dallas. Do the math, that makes me a New Year's baby. I grew up in St. Louis with my momma and my sister and 15 other family members four minutes away. We like to call it the Lou – it's cool though Nelly, Chingy, Murphy Lee they do it too. I thought I was going to play in the NBA, but I was cut in high school, so that idea was shot. In my defense, I was only 5'3 (now 6'1) going into my junior year. Insert super serious focused business guy. After an in investment banking internship in NYC, I graduated from Bradley University with a degree in International Business and moved back to the Big Apple. It took two years to realize excel spreadsheets were straining my eyes, so I rented a 10 ft. U-Haul and drove 1200 miles to the U for a Master's in broadcast/journalism.

  I know it's very rare to find a Gonzalez in Miami, but here I am. Although I was born in Cuba, I was raised in Miami, making me a a product of the Miami-Dade school system (run for the hills!) Believe it or not, I majored in journalism at FIU. There was also that stint at The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. That's when I realized that everyone was not meant to sew. Shopping=Good, Sewing=Bad. Radio has been my passion always. After years of working for free and climbing up the ranks you can now hear my deep, meaningful thoughts (NOT) from 6-midnight on 93Rock, 93.1 FM. Not done climbing quite yet. Enter What the 5!. A chance to ham it up in front of a camera and find cool stories to share with you. I was in! For fun it's all about shopping, dinner, concerts, and spending time with my husband and dog. (The cutest dog on the planet by the way. I know you think that about your dog, but no, I win, I decided.) As is the case with most people it's family first, everything else second. That's my story for now, the rest is still unwritten (totally stole that from a song.)
