The Bears defeated the Patriots 20-12 to win the Super Bowl in the 7-9 division of West Pines Flag Football.

Tyler Waxman ran for two touchdowns, and Jimmy Arnaez scored on a double reverse. They received outstanding blocking from Jose Gonzalez, Dylan Merced, Christian Zanabria, Jeremy Provost, Dylan Dearman, Kyle Zimmer, Jordan Cordoves, Erik Delgado and Jake Pickard.

COOPER CITY

The Razors defeated the Titans 22-8 in Intermediate of Cooper City Optimist flag football.

Joe Lovins had two touchdowns and 150 yards rushing and catching. Dylan Tangusso had more than 110 yards rushing, including a 75-yard touchdown run. He also intercepted a pass.

Liam Amberson and Alejandro Baquedano each had an interception. Frankie Baquedano, Jared Provast and Isaac Weiser provided constant pressure.

WEST MIRAMAR

The West Miramar Panthers 90s opened the South Florida Youth Football League playoffs with a 22-13 win over the Western Tigers.

Patrick Surtain II had 94 yards rushing, including a 55-yard touchdown run. Dylan Litsinberger made four tackles, caused a fumble and scored. Kai Campbell had five tackles and scored on a 41-yard run. Victor Faillace kicked two two-pointers.

Dazarian Hernandez completed two passes. Donald Knowles had an eight-yard catch, and Jalen Rumph caught a five-yard pass, setting up Litsinberger's score. Semaj Davis and Brandon Hollis each recovered a fumble. Addison Alufohai had two kickoffs for 40 yards.

Tristan Parker, Terrell Fox, Brandon Bell, Brandon Guthrie-Serrao, Brandon Molina, Rylan Osterfeld and Christian Garcia did a good job on defense. Malik Mayo, Victor Harvey Jr., Marc Christie, Richard Evans, Elijah Frith and Clarence Kelly played well on offense. Sebastian Sandino-Marquez was solid on special teams.

WEST PINES

Dyllon Lester had 156 yards rushing and two touchdowns as the West Pines Wildcats 90s defeated the Cooper City Optimist Cowboys 28-0 in the first round of the playoffs in the American Youth Football League.

Miles Jones ran for 110 yards and a touchdown. He also had three extra-point conversions. Gioneal Morgan totaled 130 all-purpose yards, a touchdown and an extra point. Steve Williams had 65 yards passing.

Booker T. Rhodes, Darrell Shelton and Jones each had seven tackles. Joshua Alexander made six tackles, and Nesta Silvera had four tackles and an interception. Williams had three tackles.

Chad Keirnan, Kris Wyche and Morgan had two tackles apiece. Martin Bontjes, Kyle Heim, Kahleel Gray and Jailen Creighton each added a tackle.

PEMBROKE PINES

The Pembroke Pines Optimist Bengals 100s defeated the Plantation Wildcats 33-0 in the opening round of the American Youth Football League playoffs.

Stanford Samuels threw touchdown passes to Moises Alicea and Dorion Soto. Christian Salas also caught several passes to continue drives.

Anthony Johnson led the rushing attack with a 50-yard touchdown run and several other big runs. Sidney McCloud did a good job running, and Samuels scored on a short run. John Joseph, Terrence Crittenden, Connor Wilson and Ernie Santiago blocked well.

Samuels also had two interceptions, returning one 63 yards for a touchdown. Dominick Watt registered four tackles. Bryan Edwards had three tackles. McCloud had two tackles, and Crittenden excelled on defense.
