Field goals seal wins for Davie Broncos, Cooper City Cowboys
Jonathon Gomes of the Davie Broncos and Zach Tasse of the Cooper City Optimist Cowboys each kicked winning field goals in dramatic fashion to highlight the American Youth Football League action.

DAVIE
Gomes kicked a winning 27-yard field goal with eight seconds to play as the Davie Broncos 110s edged the Boca Raton Jets 3-0 in the American Youth Football League.
David Tescher had two interceptions, and Ryan Maine recovered two fumbles to highlight a strong defense en route to the shutout. Brannigan Hart made numerous tackles. Dorian Hall and Trevor Taylor recorded key tackles.
120: DAVIE 36, BOCA RATON 8: Willie Williams returned two interceptions for touchdowns (totaling 120 yards), and Rob Foy intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown and totaling 125 yards in return yardage.
Trevor Bishop kicked three two-pointers.
Steven Calvert completed 7 of 16 passes for 69 yards. He also scored on a 1-yard run. Foy had two catches for 17 yards. Jerel Ricketts caught two passes for 32 yards. Chris Radler had two receptions for 16 yards. Derall Marshall had a 4-yard catch.
Williams had 12 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Brandon Morris and Williams each made nine tackles. David Jayne added four tackles. Foy had a tackle. Russell Moore had two tackles. Stevie Bachen, Mark Pierre and Marshall each had a tackle and a sack.
90: DAVIE 20, BOCA RATON 12: Zaequan Baker rushed for more than 50 yards and scored twice. Elijah Moore ran for 50 yards, and Frankie Heran had four carries and scored. Denzel Simmon rushed for 30 yards and added an extra point.
Quinn Dempsey completed an extra point pass to Logan Giordano and kicked three on-side kicks. Kolbe Adsunger played well at center.
Raekwon Mobley led the defense with several tackles. Tommy Coletti, Daniel Colon, Chase Donnahoe, Giordano, Moore and Simmon made tackles.
Frankie Heran had an interception. Ethan Chiapelli, Hunter Goode, Raymond Longhorne and Christian Maffett did a good job.
PEE WEES: BOCA RATON 14, DAVIE 6: For the Broncos, Marlon Brown had seven carries for 73 yards and a touchdown. Derrick Foy had eight carries for 44 yards.
Malik Foy made five tackles. J.P. Panchookian had four tackles and a fumble recovery. A.J. Bauer, Jason Jandoli and A.J. Rubio played well defensively.
COOPER CITY
Tasse had a key run and kicked the winning 27-yard field goal as the Cooper City Optimist Cowboys 135s overcame a 15-point, fourth quarter deficit to defeat the West Pines Wildcats 18-15 in overtime in the American Youth Football League.
Trailing 15-0 with under 10 minutes remaining, Tasse made a 25-yard run to set up Nick Jeanty's touchdown. Tasse then kicked the 2-pointer, trimming the deficit to seven. Zach Haber scored from two yards with less than one minute to play. Lucas Volpe tied the game with an extra point pass to Chris Taylor.
In overtime, the Cowboys stopped West Pines on fourth-and-goal, setting the stage for Volpe's hold and Tasse's winning kick.
Richard Levelle, Mason Courson, Ephi Levy, Anthony Flory, Tyson Burch and Kristian Gonzalez excelled on defense. Jeanty was 11 of 20 passing. Emmanuel Soto and Taylor each had four receptions. Volpe caught three passes. Tasse ran for 75 yards.
