Fit Girl Productions hosts unique sports entertainment competition

Fit Girl Productions' Shannon Dey and Kristen Nagrani will roll out the red carpet for the first Fort Lauderdale Cup on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale.

Dey and Nagrani will introduce -- for the first time -- an all women's physique competition with an old Hollywood theme for a one-of-a-kind sports entertainment event.

The Fort Lauderdale Cup will showcase competitors from throughout the world including International Federation of Bodybuilding professional fitness and figure competitors along with National Physique Committee fitness, figure and bikini amateur competitors.

There will be 50 VIP front row seats of red carpet treatment with cocktail waitress service. There will also be competitor rotations with several fitness wear sponsors including EJM Company Miami, CC Fitwear and Fizeek Brazil. They will model their latest lines of apparel during the fashion show.

``We are excited to be bringing a physique competition and the old Hollywood glamour together for the first time at the Fort Lauderdale Cup this year,'' Dey said in a release. ``We have had a fantastic response from competitors all over the world that will be attending, and who are some of the `best of the best' that will be completing the IFBB Olympia.''

Dey, the Fort Lauderdale Cup event co-founder, is a current IFBB Fitness Pro and co-promotes the NPC Southern USA Bodybuilding/Shannon Dey Fitness & Figure Classic in Panama City Beach. She is also the Chairwoman for Fitness & Figure for the NPC in Florida, co-owner of Southern Muscle Plus, founder of the Bombshell Fitness Team, a former NFL cheerleader and an owner of several health clubs.

Nagrani, also co-founder of the Fort Lauderdale Cup, is a National NPC Figure Competitor as well as an extremely successful business woman and entrepreneur, owning several large businesses within the medical field. She has promoted large cheerleading events boasting close to 500 athletes.

``Shannon and I are very excited about the first Fort Lauderdale Cup,'' Nagrani said. ``We have been a team for a long time, and we are going to put forth our best effort to exceed everyone's expectations by making this a spectacular event to remember.''
