U.S. Open semifinalist Yanina Wickmayer posted a quarterfinal win, while fourth-seeded Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova came up a loser Friday at the $220,000 Luxembourg Open.
A fifth-seeded Wickmayer stayed hot with a 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 6-1 victory over qualifier and fellow Belgian Kirsten Flipkens, while capable Israeli Shahar Peer toppled Hantuchova in 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) fashion at CK Sportcenter Kockelscheuer.
