Kunitsyn highlights first-round winners in Shanghai

Igor Kunitsyn rallied from a set down on Sunday to post a 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 6-2 victory over fellow Russian Igor Andreev at the $5.250 million Shanghai ATP Masters.
Spaniard Feliciano Lopez defeated compatriot Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-3, 6-4 in a first-round match on the hardcourts at Qi Zhong Tennis Center, the former site of the ATP's Tennis Masters Cup.
China's Shao-Xuan Zeng outlasted Dudi Sela of Israel 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, while German Andreas Beck advanced to the second round after Argentine Jose Acasuso retired in the second set because of a left knee injury.
Spaniard Rafael Nadal is the top seed, while Serbian Novak Djokovic is seeded second. Djokovic, who captured the China Open crown earlier Sunday, beat Russian Nikolay Davydenko for last year's title.
Scotsman Andy Murray withdrew from the event because of a wrist injury.
This inaugural event closes out a three-week Asian swing on the ATP World Tour, and the eventual winner will take home $616,500.
