Flanagan boys' soccer team shuts out Stranahan 2-0
Gustavo Velasco and Juan Raad each scored one goal as Flanagan blanked Stranahan 2-0 in a boys' soccer match Wednesday.
The Falcons (2-2-1) got assists from Fabio Hsu and Raad.
Courtney Boyne had six saves for his first career shutout.

Nova 1, McArthur 0: Adrian Vassel scored for the Titans (3-1-1) on an assist from Miguel Benito. Patrick Nascimento had four saves for his second shutout.
Cypress Bay 2, Coral Springs 0: Jon Ibanez and Diego Schevrich scored for the Lightning (3-0-1). Victor Sigala and Camilo Madrinan had assists. Paul Lima had the shutout.
Sagemont 3, Hillel 1: Eduardo Aguerrevere scored all three goals. Axel Miranda had one assist for the Lions (3-1).
St. Thomas Aquinas 2, Cooper City 1: Kevin Alexander and Joel Ericksson each scored for the Raiders (2-0). Richie Debrigard and Adam Kramer had assists. Brandon Wilson scored for the Cowboys (1-1).
Pine Crest 3, North Broward 2: Matt Silverman scored the lone goal. North Broward scored two goals on themselves. Wyatt Zeller had 12 saves for the Panthers (3-0). Andrew Logan had the assist.
American Heritage 1, Ely 0: Anthony Villagran scored for the Patriots (4-0). Alvaro Bastidas had the assist. Blake Rivers had five saves for the shutout.
University 3, Palmer Trinity 2: Jeremy Katz led the Suns (4-0) with two goals. Simon Rojas added a goal.
Ransom 4, Coral Shores 0: Chris Petricone led the Raiders (2-2) with a goal. Nico Hurtado added a goal. Mario Vicende had an assist.
GIRLS' SOCCER
Univeristy School 3, Florida Christian 1: Natalie Fiallo scored the only goal for the Patriots (2-4). Jessica Placensia assisted on Fiallo's goal.
Cardinal Gibbons 9, Monarch 1: Sarah Motta had three goals. Jenny Grant and April Ortenzo each scored two goals for the Chiefs (7-0).
Coral Springs Charter 4, Pompano Beach 0: Jennifer Torres had one goal and one assist. Cortnie Hagan, Taylor Clarke and Taylor Kuruc each scored one goal for the Panthers (3-2-1).
St. Thomas Aquinas 4, Cooper City 0: Ashley Oswald scored three goals. Julie Schumacher scored one goal and had one assist. Jennifer Grimes and Julia Kantor combined for the shutout for the Raiders (4-0).
