WITH THE HOLIDAYS COMING UP, SAVE FOR FAMILY, WHAT ARE YOU MOST THANKFUL FOR?
Goalie Tomas Vokoun: It has to be the health of myself and the health of my family. I know I'm one of the fortunate people in the world who gets to do what I love and get paid for it. But everything starts with health. It's out of your control for the most part and others have it tough and can't do anything about it.
Forward Gregory Campbell: Family is a big one. So my health would have to be next. I know I can't play this game without being healthy, but it's more than just hockey. You hear so many sad stories about people and their health. I'm glad to not have those problems.
Forward Steven Reinprecht: The health of myself and everyone I know.
ASK A PANTHER | KEITH BALLARD
Question: What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?
Answer: There's no question it has to be the stuffing. And I don't know why. But you can't have the turkey without the stuffing. Grab a slice of turkey, some stuffing, some potatoes, throw a little gravy on there. That's the best. And it's even better the second day around. The day after Thankgiving, food-wise, is better than Thanksgiving in my mind.
FLORIDA PANTHERS WEEK AHEAD
PENGUINS @ PANTHERS, 7:30 P.M. MONDAY (FSNF)
Player to watch: Center Sidney Crosby is healthy and leading the Penguins in scoring through their first 22 games. Crosby has enjoyed playing the Panthers of late, scoring four goals in five games. Last month, he scored two against the Panthers in the third period and also scored the winner in a shootout.
Analysis: The Panthers held a 2-0 lead on the Penguins when these two met in Pittsburgh last month, only to fall 3-2 in a shootout. The Panthers will unveil their new third jerseys for the first time Monday, with rumors swirling that the baby blue color scheme might confuse some with the Penguins throwback numbers.
Series: Tied 29-29-4.
RANGERS @ PANTHERS, 7:30 P.M. WED. (FSNF)
Player to watch: New York Rangers Goalie Henrik Lundqvist has enjoyed playing against the Panthers in the past, although Florida might have figured him out based on last season's successes. Lundqvist was expected to be in net when the Panthers played in New York on Saturday night.
Analysis: The Rangers weren't happy heading into Saturday's game against the Panthers in New York having lost three of four and four of their past six. The Rangers will play host to Columbus before heading to Florida for a Sunshine State Thanksgiving. New York visits Tampa Bay on Friday.
Series: New York leads 33-26-6.
MAPLE LEAFS @ PANTHERS, 7:30 P.M. FRIDAY (FSNF)
Player to watch: Right winger Phil Kessel has added a spark to the Leafs since joining the team on Nov. 3. Kessel, unhappy in Boston, was traded to Toronto during the offseason but missed the first few weeks of the season recovering from shoulder surgery. He has five goals and three assists in his first eight games with the Leafs.
Analysis: The Panthers had their way with the Maple Leafs last season and completed their first sweep of the Original Six franchise in a four-game series. The Panthers won two straight against the Leafs in 1995-96. In two of the games, the Panthers made frantic third period comebacks to force overtimes.
Series: Toronto leads 25-16-7.
PANTHERS @ PREDATORS, 7 P.M. SATURDAY (FSNF)
Player to watch: Florida goalie Tomas Vokoun seeks his first win in Nashville since it traded him to the Panthers in 2007. Vokoun is 0-1 in Nashville (Craig Anderson started in last year's OT loss).
Analysis: The Preds have looked to turn things around and had won four in a row and eight of 10 after beating the Devils on Thursday. Nashville is finally getting production from big-money players Steve Sullivan, Jason Arnott and David Legwand.
Series: Florida leads 6-4-3.
