NFL Week 15’s kickoff permits us to stand in awe of what we are seeing out of Denver this season. Peyton Manning has accounted for 1,086 yards of offense and nine TD passes the past two games alone, rather emphatically tossing aside the myth that he can’t play well in freezing weather. And last week his Broncos became only the fifth team – and first since the 1969 Vikings – to top 50 points three times in a season. I think what I’m trying to say is, do not bet against this man and this offense. Especially at Mile High, where Denver is unbeaten in ’13. And especially in-division; Manning is 10-0 vs. the AFC West as a Bronco. Having said all that, I’ll take the Chargers getting 10 as they fight for what’s left of their playoff chances. Denver has clinched but still is after the division title and a first-round bye, but it won’t match SD’s desperation. These teams played it close in November (Denver won 28-20), and now Manning likely will be missing Wes Welker to a concussion. Oh, and Philip Rivers is 5-2 in his career in Denver.
