REDSKINS (3-5) at VIKINGS (1-7)

Line: WAS by 2 1/2.

Cote’s pick: MIN 28-24.

TV: 8:25 p.m. Thursday, NFL Network (airing in South Florida).

Thursday’s prime-time kickoff to NFL Week 10 does not offer up two good teams, but it DOES offer up two bad defenses likely to provide one high-scoring game. The Washington [Unmentionables] lucking to beat San Diego in OT last week was no more impressive to me than the Vikings falling late, and close, to Dallas. I get why the betting line slightly favors the visitors, but I like Adrian Peterson and the home field in a small upset. AP had a vintage 140 yards rushing last week and averages 127.8 in his past nine home dates. I also divine that Vikes’ Cordarrelle Patterson will return a kickoff for a touchdown. Book it!
