We consulted with Ashley Wheater, the artistic director of the Joffrey Academy of Dance to get the best stretches to combat jet lag. Now you can stay just as flexible and fit as a professional dancer when you're on the road.
CALF AND HIP STRETCH
This stretch is ideal for opening up the hips and stretching out the lower legs after a long day of traveling. It is also a great way to get your blood flowing again from head to toe after sitting on a long haul flight.

SEATED GLUTE STRETCH
A perfect way to reduce lower back pain while also stretching your glutes, this move helps to lengthen and re-align your spine.
This is a simple move that helps travelers stretch every part of their lower body. Lunges are a great way to relieve tension from your hamstrings, calves and front of hips.
A great way to elongate the entire body, this stretch releases tension in the chest, neck, spine, and hips, especially after being stuck in a small seat on a plane for hours at a time.
The releve (a movement when a dancer rises on the tips of the toes) is a warm-up exercise used in ballet to strengthen the feet and arches. While traveling, this is the perfect stretch to help alleviate swollen feet and re-introduce blood circulation to the lower leg.
