Notes

Starting in the 19th position, Denny Hamlin led the final 43 laps torecord his ninth career Nationwide Series win last year. Hamlin led twice fora race-high 99 laps, as he edged Clint Bowyer by 1.407 seconds. Pole sitterKevin Harvick placed 13th after leading for 90 laps. Hamlin led 99 of thefinal 107 laps as he won for the fourth time in 2008.Kyle Busch led only 17 circuits, but it was the final 17 to propel him tovictory in 2007, as he defeated pole sitter Matt Kenseth by less than asecond. Busch started sixth on the grid, but did not take the lead until lap184, as he hung on for his 10th career Nationwide Series title. Kenseth, whohad started on the pole the last two races and finished second on bothoccasions, led four times for a race-high 65 laps.In 2006, Kevin Harvick continued his domination of that season, as he clippedMatt Kenseth by less than a second for his seventh win of that year and 24thof his Nationwide career. Harvick, who now owns 32 Nationwide titles, reclaimed the lead on lap 185 and held on for victory. Kenseth, who started onthe pole, led for a race-high 145 laps, but could not regain the lead afterlosing it on lap 166 to Kyle Busch.Kasey Kahne crossed the finish line in 2005 just 0.030 of a second ahead ofGreg Biffle to captured his third career Nationwide Series title. Althoughnever a winner, Biffle is the only driver to post five top-5 finishes at thisrace and seven straight top-10s.Although Matt Kenseth and Michael Waltrip are multiple pole winners of thisrace, there has never been a repeat winner in Kansas. With only seven races remaining, Kyle Busch holds a 211-point advantage overCarl Edwards. Busch has recorded 24 top-10 finishes in 28 starts, with sixwins. Edwards has recorded four wins and 23 top-10s in his 28 starts. The next race on the Nationwide Series schedule is October 10 at Auto ClubSpeedway in Southern California, as Kyle Busch attempts to defend his title inthe Copart 300.09/29 16:58:17 ET
