Cardinals activate Motte from DL

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Cardinals activated right- hander Jason Motte from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday and added four other players to the roster.

Motte has been out since Aug. 2 with a lower back sprain. He also started the season on the DL after recovering from Tommy John surgery on his elbow and has a 4.91 ERA in 24 appearances.

The Cardinals recalled left-handed pitchers Marco Gonzales, Nick Greenwood and Tyler Lyons and catcher Tony Cruz from the minors.
