Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Houston Astros added six players to their major-league roster on Tuesday as September call-ups.
The Astros recalled outfielder L.J. Hoes, catcher Max Stassi and infielder Jonathan Villar from Oklahoma City and selected the contracts of right-handed pitchers Jorge De Leon and Nick Tropeano from the Triple-A team.
They also activated left-hander Darin Downs from the 15-day disabled list and designated right-handers Paul Clemens and David Martinez for assignment.
Stassi and Tropeano are making their debuts on a major-league roster. Downs had been sidelined since Aug. 15 with a right oblique strain.
