Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians activated catcher Yan Gomes from the 7-day disabled list on Friday.

Gomes developed concussion symptoms from a deflected pitch he took off his mask last Thursday against Minnesota. He is batting .284 with 17 homers and 53 RBI this season.

The Indians placed catcher Chris Gimenez on the paternity list to clear room for Gomes on the roster.
