Indians extend P Atchison

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians signed veteran reliever Scott Atchison to a one-year contract extension on Tuesday.
The deal includes a club option for 2016.
Atchison has been a reliable asset out of the bullpen for the Indians this season, compiling a 6-0 record with a 2.95 earned run average and a save in 53 appearances.
The 38-year-old righty is 16-10 with a 3.51 ERA in 258 games with Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, the New York Mets and Indians.
