Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Rockies pitcher Franklin Morales will not make his scheduled start Friday against the Cincinnati Reds due to the pending birth of his child.

The Rockies announced that Matt Belisle will pitch in Morales' place. The start will be the veteran right-hander's first since May 25, 2008, when he faced San Diego while then a member of the Reds.

Belisle, who is 3-6 with a 4.93 ERA in 54 relief outings this season, has made all but 43 of his 512 career appearances out of the bullpen. Over six seasons with the Rockies, all 380 of his games pitched have come in relief.
