Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics have placed infielder Jed Lowrie on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured right index finger.
Lowrie had been day-to-day since suffering the injury on Aug. 4 during a game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He missed Thursday's game against the Royals.
Lowrie is hitting .238 with five home runs and 42 RBI in 110 games this season.
The A's recalled infielder Andy Parrino from Triple-A Sacramento to take Lowrie's spot on the roster. Parrino has played in five games with Oakland this year.
