Reds' Cueto named NL Player of the Week

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Cincinnati Reds right-hander Johnny Cueto was named National League Player of the Week on Monday.

Cueto earned the award for the first time in his career after winning both of his starts last week while pitching an MLB-high 17 innings.

He allowed four earned runs and had 15 strikeouts in starts against Cleveland and Miami. He threw his fourth complete game of the season in a 9-2 win over Cleveland on Tuesday.
