Royals' Butler is AL Player of the Week

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas City Royals designated hitter and first baseman Billy Butler was named American League Player of the Week on Monday for the fifth time in his career.

Butler batted .435 over six games last week with two home runs, five doubles, seven RBI and a .458 on-base percentage.

He helped the Royals go 6-0 during the week, extending their winning streak to seven games entering Monday.
