Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Texas Rangers purchased the contract of pitcher Phil Klein from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

The right-hander is 3-0 with a 0.52 ERA and 10 saves across 33 relief appearances with Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock this year. He has amassed 70 strikeouts and has not allowed an extra-base hit.

To make room for Klein, the Rangers designated pitcher Ryan Feierabend for assignment.

Feierabend, who saw his first major league action since 2008 with the Mariners, allowed 12 hits and five runs in 7 1/3 innings across six games with the Rangers this season.
