Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics placed outfielder Craig Gentry on the 15-day disabled list with a broken right hand on Monday.

Gentry was batting .264 with 10 RBI and 18 stolen bases over 80 games with the A's this season. This is Gentry's second stint on the DL as a lower back strain put him on the shelf at the beginning of the season.

To take Gentry's spot on the roster, Oakland selected outfielder Billy Burns from Double-A Midland. The A's will make a move to clear a spot for Burns on the 40-man roster later Monday.
