White Sox's Abreu named AL Rookie of the Month

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu was named American League Rookie of the Month for June.
Abreu hit .313 with 10 homers, 22 RBI and 15 runs scored over 25 games to take home his second Rookie of the Month Award of the season.
The Cuban slugger led all of baseball in homers during the month and was tops among rookies in RBI, slugging (.667), extra base hits (16) and total bases (67).
Kevin Kiermaier of Tampa Bay, Dellin Betances and Masahiro Tanaka of the New York Yankees, Roenis Elias of Seattle, Nick Castellanos of Detroit and Kansas City's Yordano Ventura also received votes.
