Twins place Santana on DL

Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins placed infielder/outfielder Danny Santana on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a bone bruise in his left knee.

Santana suffered the injury in the third inning of Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Angels.

Santana is batting .328 with two homers and 16 RBI in 37 games this season.

To fill the vacated roster spot, the Twins recalled pitcher Yohan Pino from Triple-A Rochester. Pino will start Monday's game for Minnesota.
