Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - The Baltimore Orioles placed starting pitcher Bud Norris on the 15-day disabled list Friday due to a strained right groin.

In 14 starts this season, Norris is 7-5 with a 3.62 ERA.

The move is retroactive to June 22.

To replace Norris on the active roster, the Orioles recalled pitcher Evan Meek from Triple-A Norfolk.

Gausman, 23, has gone 3-1 with a 2.74 ERA in four starts for the Orioles this season and is expected to start the first game of Friday's doubleheader.
