Rays activate Guyer, place DeJesus on DL

St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Tampa Bay Rays activated outfielder Brandon Guyer from the 15-day disabled list Thursday and placed outfielder David DeJesus on the DL.
Guyer sustained a fractured left thumb after diving for a ball in the outfield during Tampa Bay's 8-5 win over Boston on May 25.
Over 28 games with the Rays this season, the 28-year-old Guyer is batting .262 with one home run and six RBI.
DeJesus fractured his left hand on a check swing Wednesday and will be in a splint for three weeks.
The 34-year-old was hitting .269 with five home runs and 17 RBI across 62 games this season.
