Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Diamondbacks selected pitcher Matt Stites from Reno on Thursday and optioned outfielder Tony Campana to the Triple-A club.

Stites, a 24-year-old right-hander, has never pitched in the majors. He had a 2.25 ERA in 17 appearances out of the bullpen for Reno and owns a 2.89 ERA on the season factoring in 12 games with Double-A Mobile.

Campana hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday to beat Milwaukee and was batting .150 in 26 games for the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks also transferred pitcher Daniel Hudson from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list. The right-hander hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012 after twice tearing the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
