Braves sign draft pick Davidson

Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Braves announced Monday the signing of its 2014 first-round draft pick, outfielder Braxton Davidson.

Davidson, a 6-foot-2, 210-pounder taken 32nd overall, was dubbed the top high school prospect in the draft in North Carolina by Baseball America.

He hit .462 with five home runs, 11 doubles, three triples and 20 RBI over 27 games for T.C. Roberson High in Asheville.
