Flushing, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Padres sent reliever Troy Patton to the 15-day disabled list with left shoulder soreness on Saturday.

In 17 appearances with both Baltimore and San Diego this season, the lefty has allowed eight runs on 16 hits and five walks in 14 innings of work.

To fill his roster spot, the Padres recalled pitcher Jesse Hahn from Double-A San Antonio to start Saturday's game against the New York Mets.

It will be Hahn's second major league start. He previously lasted 3 2/3 innings in a 4-1 loss to the Pirates on June 3, allowing all four runs on six hits.
