Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Twins placed outfielder Aaron Hicks on the 15-day disabled list and activated outfielder Sam Fuld from the 7-day concussion DL prior to Friday's contest against Detroit.
Hicks suffered a right shoulder strain after diving for a ball in center field on June 7. An MRI showed no structural damage to his shoulder.
The 24-year-old has hit .198 with one home run and nine RBI in 48 games this season for the Twins.
Fuld has been out of action since May 8 with concussion-like symptoms and has missed the team's last 32 games.
He previously played in 13 games for the Twins this season. In four games with Double-A New Britain, the 32-year-old went 6-for-14 with two doubles and a home run.
Minnesota also recalled catcher Eric Fryer from Rochester.
