Leading Horse of the Year candidate Rachel Alexandra took a jog around the Churchill Downs track Tuesday morning. The three-year-old filly, who also jogged on Monday, had regular exercise rider Dominic Terry in the saddle.

Owned by Jess Jackson and Harold McCormack, Rachel has been resting at Churchill Downs since beating older male horses in the Woodward Handicap at Saratoga on September 5. For the jog she was under the watchful eye of trainer Steve Asmussen's chief assistant Scott Blasi.

The filly is undefeated in eight starts this year for more than $2.7 million. Among her victories in 2009 are the Kentucky Oaks, Preakness Stakes, Mother Goose and Haskell Invitational.

Jackson held his filly out of this year's Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita Park because of his dislike of synthetic tracks. Rachel is being pointed toward a 2010 campaign with the Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs on the schedule.
