The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired forward Mike Zigomanis from the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday in exchange for future considerations.
The 27-year-old played just 33 games for Phoenix a year ago, recording two goals and three points. He spent the majority of the year with the club's AHL affiliate in San Antonio.
However, over a five-year NHL career, the Toronto-area native has compiled 19 goals and 33 points over 167 games with Carolina, St. Louis and Phoenix. He recorded career-bests with 14 goals and 23 points two seasons ago with the Coyotes in 75 contests.
