Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic is expected to be sidelined for about four weeks because of a high left ankle sprain.

Lucic was hurt in Wednesday's game against Minnesota. This will mark his second significant injury of the season, as he missed 14 games with a fractured finger that required surgery in mid-October.

"He will probably be out for around four weeks," said Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli prior to Friday's game against New Jersey. "It could be less, with these things it is difficult. It could be less and it could be a little more."

Lucic had played four games since returning from his finger injury and netted a pair of goals in that span.

"I am sure he is disappointed," Chiarelli added. "We get him back for three or four games, now he is gone for a month."

Lucic, who signed a three-year contract extension this past offseason, has two goals and three assists for five points in 10 games this season.
