The San Jose Sharks begin a string of six road games over their next eight contests this evening, when they visit the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center.

The Sharks are 6-0-2 at home this year and 7-4-1 as the guest. They were last in action on Thursday, when they dropped a 3-2 shootout decision to the visiting Stars.

Stephane Robidas had the winner for Dallas in the final frame, capping a rally that saw the Stars come back from a 2-0 third-period deficit. Dany Heatley and Ryane Clowe had second-period goals for the Sharks, who have still earned a point in 10 straight games (8-0-2).

"We've been pretty good this year going into the third putting teams away," said Clowe. "They got a pretty fluky goal, the first one, I think it went off [defenseman Jason] Demers' skate. It was a good hockey game all around, both teams played hard."

Evgeni Nabokov turned aside 34-of-36 shots for San Jose, which had a two-game winning streak snapped.

The Sharks, who play three straight on the road beginning tonight, were without Rob Blake for a fourth straight game due to an upper-body injury.

The Blues continue a six-game homestand, having gone 1-1-0 so far on the residency. St. Louis snapped a five-game losing streak with a win on Tuesday over Vancouver, but was then handled by Nashville, 3-1, on Thursday.

Brad Boyes lit the lamp for the Blues, who fell to 3-6-1 as the host and failed to win back-to-back games for the first time since a two-game sweep of Detroit in Sweden to begin the season. Chris Mason allowed two goals on 36 shots in the loss.

"We got what we deserved tonight," Blues head coach Andy Murray said. "Usually in this game and in life, you do. We tried to alert our team this morning, because I sensed that we were somewhat loose after the victory the other night...I shouldn't have to alert them because every single game we play against [Nashville] is that way. We know they're going to work extremely hard."

Forward Paul Kariya has mirrored St. Louis' recent struggles, as he has been held without a point for nine straight games.

The Blues won their final two meetings with the Sharks last year after having lost seven in a row to the club (0-6-1). Both those wins came in St. Louis, where the Sharks have still won eight of their last 12.
